8. The Bangtao Beach
Bangtao Beach is 6 km large, rendering it one of the longest beaches in Phuket. It is fairly empty for the most portion, with hotels mainly taking the southern end, whilst the northern end is normally very calm and serene. There are just a couple of small beach bars scattered along its stretch. From November to April, the water is smooth, relaxed, and dry. Around May and October, the seas will be a little hard, so take care of the coastline’s warning signs. Many wanting to leave everyone behind without doing anything more exhausting than reading a good book are drawn towards Bangtao Beach. The only exception to this maxim is if you are at the shoreline’s southern end. There are many hotels and cultural centers on the shoreline, culminating in a rather vibrant night scene. Bangtao continues to be one of Phuket’s best family-friendly shorelines, though.
